Newborn photography sessions are usually just about the baby, but I really love it when the parents get involved. It's so beautiful to see their love and excitement and to capture it on camera. There used to be just the two of them, and now there are three of them - the incredible miracle of life!

Usually when I'm photographing parents with their newborn, I find that the mom has this beautiful soft loving smile on her face, and the dad has this spark in his eyes and a special proud smile. And, no matter how tired they are, after all the sleepless nights, when they are embraced for the family shot with their little one in the middle, they start smiling and giggling and joking... It is so much fun to watch and such a privilege to photograph. Often it's their very first event as a family, which makes it even more special.
